Culture Class at Montepinar School

Tuesday, 14 December 2010

Do you know anything about British culture?. I am pretty sure you know some things, but there is still a lot to be learnt. Last Friday we were visited by Joe Fawcett, who had come to tell us more about aspects of life in Britain: its national symbols, the Royal Family, food, sports, literature, famous people, pop music etc.

We all had a good time and we even played "Who wants to be a millionaire" based on what we had just learnt. The winner got a prize. Overall, it was a great experience and we all participated.

Open Day Book Fair

Wednesday, 19 May 2010

As you all know we recently celebrated our yearly Open Day. It was a great success with many activities. One of the things people could see was our book fair. There were books for all tastes and ages. The purpose of the book fair was to show students and parents that reading in English can be fun and educational at the same time. The school did not make any profit from selling the books, but received a donation of books for all ages for the school library.

Primary 1 Reporters.

Wednesday, 24 February 2010

Hello everyone! Have you ever wanted to be a reporter? Well, four of the students from Primary 1 were reporters for a day. Since we are one of the few bilingual schools in Murcia, we were chosen to give a little performance. The students presented some news and were interviewing each other in front of some important people from the Regional Ministry of Education. They did great and everyone thought they were brilliant!!
